Oyun, bildiğiniz gibi, üç ana yoldan geçiyor; Büyücünün Yolu, Kolcu’nun Yolu ve Hobbit’in Yolu. Büyücünün Yolu’nda 7000 yaşındaki usta büyücü Ak Gandalf ile oynuyoruz. Kolcu’nun Yolu’nda Aragorn, Gimli veya okun ve çift kılıcın ustası Legolas ile oynuyoruz. Hobbit’in Yolu’nda ise sadık ve dürüst Sam ileyiz...

EXPERIENCE SİSTEMİ:

Oyunda öldürdüğünüz her yaratıktan belli bir miktarda exp. puanı kazanıyorsunuz ve belli bir puanınız olduğunda seviye atlıyorsunuz. Öldürme stilinize göre az ya da çok puan alıyorsunuz ve aşağıdaki bar dolunca “Perfect” Mod’a geçiyorsunuz, yani hem daha fazla hasar veriyorsunuz, hem de öldürdüğünüz yaratıklardan maksimum puan alıyorsunuz.

Bölüm bittiğinde ise bu deneyim puanlarınız ile değişik saldırı stilleri satın alabiliyor, veya karakterinizi geliştirebiliyorsunuz. Her karakterin kendine has birkaç özelliği var (Aşağıda tüm Upgrade’leri satın alınmış halleri yazılıdır);

Gandalf: Etrafında koruyucu bir kalkan oluşturabiliyor. Menzilli saldırısı büyü. Son seviyeye geldiğinde attığı büyü “okları” hem düşmanlarını yakıyor, hem de onların içinden geçiyor.

Aragorn: Yakın dövüşçü. Menzilli saldırısı ok. Son seviyeye geldiği zaman okları düşmanları yakabiliyor ve Hızlı Saldırısı (İleride açıklayacağım) daha hızlı ve güçlü oluyor.

Gimli: Yakın dövüşçü. Menzilli saldırısı balta. Son seviyeye geldiği zaman baltaları düşmanları yakabiliyor ve Güçlü Saldırısı (İleride açıklayacağım) daha hızlı ve güçlü oluyor.

Legolas: Sandığınızın aksine yakın dövüşçü. Menzilli saldırısı ok. Son seviyeye geldiği zaman attığı oklar hem düşmanını yakıyor, hem de içinden geçiyor. Aynı zamanda Elven Bow Mastery özelliği ile iki hedefe birden aynı anda ok atabiliyor.

Sam: Değişik özelliklere sahip. Yakın saldırıda da, menzilli saldırıda da iyi. Aynı zamanda bir süreliğine görünmez olabiliyor. Görünmezken birini sırtından bıçaklayabiliyor. Son seviyede görünmez kalma süresi uzuyor ve sırttan bıçaklama ile verdiği hasar inanılmaz artıyor.
