VCache, RAM'a göre çok daha yavas olan sabit diskinizden yüklediginiz dosya ve programlarin bir kisminin kopyalarini RAM'de saklayarak onlara bir daha ihtiyaç duydugunuzda çok daha hizli yüklenmelerini saglar. Örnegin web tarayicinizi yükleyin ve kapatin. Ikinci defa web tarayicinizi yüklemeye kalktiginizda çok daha hizli yüklendigini hemen farkedeceksiniz. Teoride disk önbellegi çok güzel bir özellik olsa da Windows ne yazik ki önbellegin boyutuna herhangi bir sinirlama getirmediginden belleginiz çok çabuk bitebilir ve sisteminiz çökebilir.
Simdiye kadar ne yazik ki normal yollardan disk önbelleginin boyutlarini ayarlamanin herhangi bir yolu yoktu. Her ne kadar etrafta bu sorunu çözmek için,RamBooster gibi programlar bulunsa da Cacheman sundugu özelliklerin çokluguyla bir adim öne çikiyor.
